Water For Life
During our trip to the Kwinti villages, first week of August, 2016, we had the privilege to take water filters house to house in Witagron and
Kaaimanston. We took the time to demonstrate how to setup the filter and how to back flush the filter, so that it would be usable for years to come. According to the Sawyer company, this filtration method filters to 0.01 microns and with proper and timely cleaning, by back flushing, the filter would be able to filter one million gallons of water. This very compact and economical filter can be attached to a bottle, a bucket, or a water tank, using the parts included with the All-in-one kit. This allows water to be gravity fed through the filter, the more water in the container, the better the flow of water through the filter. The kit also comes with an adapter, that allows you to attach the filer tube to a faucet.
Living Water
It was such a blessing to be invited into these homes, to give them a gift that would
literally change their lives, and the lives of their family. We shared another gift with them while we were in the home. In some homes we shared the story of Jesus at the well, with the Samaritan woman. The story of the Living Water, John chapter 4. In some homes we shared other stories based on the topic of discussions with the families. We were Blessed to be witness to God calling at least 13 souls to follow Jesus during this week. We told each person that answered God’s call, that we would have a baptism at the river at the end of the week. On Thursday afternoon we gathered at the river, and 3 of the men, came to be baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. Afterward, we found out this was the first time in the history of Witagron that anyone has been baptized in the Believers Baptism, by submersion, in the village. They have had the sprinkling of babies, and a few had been baptized in the capital city, but never had they had anyone come and preach the Good News, then baptize those who believed. We are overwhelmed with the Joy of being allowed to be a part of God’s revival of the Kwinti people.
